Designed by Gregory Mirow, the line was initially released in 1972 as a Pyrex Compatibles collection to match the popular Corelle dinnerware pattern of the same name. An altered redesign (often referred to as Butterfly Gold II) was introduced in 1979 before production ceased entirely in 1981.
