Kyogen Mask: Sorabuki Mask
204.60 $
Description
The Sorabuki mask is a Noh mask that appears in Kyogen plays. Its distinctive feature is the shape of its mouth, which is said to be either pursed to recite a Norito (Shinto prayer) or to blow fire.
This Sorabuki mask is particularly well-finished with excellent painting and a rich expression.
My father creates many masks, including this one, for use in local festivals.
