Vintage Sterling Silver Ballerina Street Lamp Brooch Pin 2in 4g

Friday night. Private ballet reopening in Manhattan. The brooch makes everyone assume the principal dancer was cast after your approval.  Five minutes later, the artistic director is asking whether you want the founders' box made permanent and the board has started discussing whose name belongs above the rehearsal studio.  This vintage sterling silver brooch turns a tiny street scene into sculpture. A ballerina wraps around a tall lamppost beneath a pointed star, one arm lifted and one leg extended, while the pleated skirt fans outward in deep ribbed relief. The vertical lamp gives the composition structure; the dancer breaks that line with movement, so the piece reads dynamically instead of like a flat figural pin.  The reverse shows a full pin stem and clasp behind the figure and a visible STERLING mark. At 2 tall and 4 grams, it has enough scale to show the modeling without becoming bulky.  Gertrude Wobblebottom walked in like she owned the place. She wore a ballerina cut from a sardine tin zip-tied to a cocktail straw streetlamp. Three patrons stopped talking because nobody knew whose guest she was. She had climbed the fire escape and entered through the costume-loft window.  STERLING marked. 2 tall. 4 grams.
