Description

A Kagura mask depicting an ogre's face, characterized by golden eyes and beard, with a rich expression.

This is an ogre mask crafted by Norifusa Sugawara, known as a contemporary Noh mask craftsman. It is one of several items that were displayed on a glass shelf in my living room, which I acquired through purchase or gift from my late father, who was acquainted with Norifusa. It is said that my father, a carpenter, also created and provided frames for Norifusa's exhibitions.

There are stains that appear to be discoloration of the paint. While the condition is not perfect, there are no noticeable scratches or damage. Please check the product images for details.

Those concerned about stains or scratches should refrain from purchasing.

The back of the mask is engraved with Norifusa Sugawara's seal (back stamp).
