Yamata no Orochi (Eight-Branched Serpent) - Great Serpent Head - Bitchu Kagura
Size: Height 60 cm, Width 37 cm, Depth 35 cm
Please note that these are amateur measurements and may contain errors.
Thank you for looking.
This great serpent head was made for my parent, who is a fan of Kagura, by a Kagura mask craftsman.
I am not sure of the exact details, but I believe the materials are wood and Japanese paper.
The year of creation and the craftsman's name are inscribed on the back.
It was previously displayed at my family home and has been stored for the past few decades.
As it is an old item, there are some scratches and dirt, but it is a magnificent serpent with a strong presence.
I would be happy if it could be passed on to someone who is interested.
Please check the photos and consider your purchase.
As this is a delicate item, it may take some time to pack. Thank you for your understanding.
