Noh mask, wood carving, traditional craft, mask, usobuki, okame, rare

This is a wooden mask carved by an acquaintance.
They are a skilled artisan who has acquired proper techniques.
This is the same artist who created the female Noh mask listed elsewhere.

I asked them to create a slightly humorous piece that would blend into a living room, unlike typical masks, and bring a smile to one's face.
I was very pleased with the warm finish of the work and displayed it for a long time. However, I am reluctantly selling it due to moving and decluttering.
There are areas of deterioration and peeling due to age, so please check the photos. Those seeking perfection should refrain from purchasing.

I found the work to be meticulously and beautifully crafted, with a charming and lovely expression.

The box is not included.
It is dusty, but I wish to deliver it in the condition shown in the photos, so I will not clean it thoroughly.
I will wrap it after lightly dusting it off.

I would be happy to find someone who will cherish it.
Thank you for your consideration.

Please ask any questions before purchasing.

Price negotiation and individual sales are not possible.

Shipping will temporarily be from Iwate Prefecture.
