This is a heartwarming piece featuring a Noh mask of Otafuku (Okame), a popular symbol of good fortune, mounted on a wooden base.
Its plump cheeks and gentle smile are striking, and its expression is charming enough to bring peace just by looking at it.
The back is designed for wall hanging, making it suitable not only as interior decor for your entryway, living room, or Japanese-style room, but also as a decoration for warding off evil and bringing good luck.
This item was stored at my grandmother's house. The purchase date is unknown.
There are some white spots on the wood base.
The inscription Mitsuo Saku is on the back.
Ships via Mercari delivery service.
