From the Clover Canyon Fall 2014 collection, this beautiful Donegal neoprene midi pencil skirt features vibrant, multi-colored geometric tweed digital prints, based on the weaving traditions of Donegal, Ireland. This particular collection was inspired by Ireland & featured digital prints that deconstructed rustic vistas, Celtic crests, and heritage tartans & woven fabric. One of my favorite lines, Clover Canyon pieces are sought after by collectors for their signature bold graphic prints - limited in number since they were only in business for 6 years. All pieces were designed & manufactured in-house in Los Angeles, which naturally limited the total volume produced compared to mass-market brands. Unlike standard fabric patterns, Clover Canyon used engineered prints, meaning the design was digitally mapped to fit the specific shape and seams of each garment size. This labor-intensive process makes individual pieces more unique. Look at the closeups to appreciate the crispness and detail of the print, and the wonderful use of color hues!
