Description

Thank you for looking.

Sorabuki is a mask that appears in Kyogen, characterized by its distinctive mouth shape, which is said to be either blowing to recite a norito (Shinto prayer) or blowing fire.

This Sorabuki mask is particularly well-finished with good paintwork and an expressive appearance.

My father makes many masks, including this one, for use in local festivals.
