Antique Chinese Blue and White Porcelain Hot Water Warming Plate Birds Octagonal

Antique Chinese export porcelain hot water warming plate features a classic blue and white hand-painted design. The central motif depicts two birds perched on a flowering branch, surrounded by an intricate floral and geometric border on an octagonal rim. This functional piece of history includes two hollow spouts on the sides, designed to be filled with hot water to keep food warm during service. The underside shows a characteristic unglazed foot ring and minor pitting consistent with age and authentic porcelain production. A beautiful example of traditional Chinoiserie pottery for collectors or as a distinctive decorative accent.
