Vintage Original King 949 German Beer Stein Fox Handle Hunting Pewter Lid DBGM

Striking vintage Original King German beer stein, Model 949, featuring a richly detailed raised-relief hunting scene and an unusual sculpted fox-form handle. The stoneware body is finished in deep cobalt blue, amber/brown and dark contrasting glaze with hunters and woodland wildlife depicted around the body. The figural fox handle is especially distinctive, curling alongside the stein with the fox's head positioned near the upper attachment. Finished with an ornate hinged pewter lid and decorative thumb lift. The underside of the lid is stamped DBGM, a German registered-design marking used on postwar German wares. beerstein,germanstein,originalking,foxhandle,huntingscene,pewterlid,model949,westgermany,vintagestein,DBGM
