Vintage Lallier Moustiers France Hand Painted Bird Faience Plate 7.5”

Vintage Lallier à Moustiers hand-painted faience plate, made in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie in Provence, France.  Features a whimsical polychrome bird perched among hand-painted foliage and flowers in shades of ochre/yellow, blue, green and brown. The molded scalloped rim is finished with a hand-painted green border and delicate pink accent line.  The underside retains both the hand-painted “Lallier à Moustiers” workshop signature and original Lallier paper label indicating the decoration was entirely painted by hand. Atelier Lallier was established in Moustiers in 1969 and became known for continuing the region's centuries-old tradition of decorative faience.  Details: approximately 7½ diameter; hand-painted faience/earthenware; polychrome bird and botanical decoration; scalloped molded rim; signed Lallier à Moustiers; original workshop label; made in France; vintage late-20th-century production.
