RARE Retrò Decoupage Masking Tape Decanter 1960s Midcentury Bohemian Folk art
Handmade
Such a cool, unique, very hard-to-find and VERY collectible piece! It is a faux-leather decoupage bottle craft, commonly created by overlaying torn pieces of masking tape onto a glass bottle and staining them with shoe polish or wood stain. This distinctive folk art technique was highly popular in the 1960s and 1970s as a DIY home decor trend to mimic the look of expensive, rustic, vintage Italian tooled leather decanters, but have now become more collectible and more valuable instead! It is topped off with a classic tapered cork stopper. Style Era: Mid-Century / 1970s Folk Art and Bohemian decor. Appears to be crafted over an old whiskey bottle. Approx 10.5” tall. *Please keep in mind that all items are vintage and antique, so signs of wear or age might be present. We do our best to photograph and list any noticeable defects or blemishes so please look closely at photos and do not hesitate to ask questions. ALL ITEMS SOLD AS IS. Buyer is responsible for both shipping costs on any returns.
