Vermilion Lacquer Thousand-Coil Incense Case - Antique Lacquerware - Buddhist Art - Antique Art

Thank you for viewing.
The details of this product are as follows:
--------------------------------------------------
- Diameter 7.5cm, Height 3cm.
- This is an aged vermilion-lacquered Sen-dan-maki incense container. The lacquer is robust with no peeling or lifting. The aged, classic, and calm lacquer surface has developed a patina, exuding a mysterious allure and making it a truly flavorful and desirable piece. The vermilion lacquer has developed a smooth, flowing texture from handling, and its surface absorbs light, emitting a subdued, dull sheen.
- Although small, it is a charming and indispensable item. Displayed alone on a base such as an ancient-patterned fukusa, it will stand out beautifully. It will undoubtedly enhance the presentation when placed alongside antique kiln pots, old Imari ware, or Buddhist statues, making both items look more appealing.
- There are no noticeable scratches. As it is an aged item, there are naturally some age-related scuffs and very small dents on the rim of the inner inro-guchi, but these do not constitute major damage. It is in very good condition for an old lacquerware item.
