Vintage Johnston & Murphy Made in USA wingtip/kiltie tassel loafers, style 59-13030, size 11 D/B. Deep burgundy/oxblood leather with leather soles. The leather displays several characteristics associated with shell cordovan, including a dense glossy surface, reddish undertones and broad rolling at the flex points. Johnston & Murphy is documented to have produced similar wingtip/kiltie tassel designs in shell cordovan during this era. However, I have been unable to locate an original catalog entry confirming the leather used specifically for style 59-13030. Therefore, I am NOT representing these as confirmed shell cordovan.
