Price reduced!! Tea ceremony utensil - Hand-pail shaped mizusashi (water container) - Vermilion lacquer
99.00 $
Description
From my mother's tea ceremony set.
It's been nearly 50 years since purchase. It was bought for around 200,000 yen at the time.
I believe it has been kept in its box and never used.
A similar mizusashi (freshwater container) was used in a movie where Kirin Kiki played a tea ceremony teacher, during a practice scene.
Size:
Height: 16.5 cm (23.5 cm at the highest point)
Diameter: 21.4 cm (22.1 cm with lid)
Condition:
Very clean with no scratches or mold.
There is some deterioration on the metal band around the bucket. Please see photos.
It can also be used for ikebana (flower arrangement). I think it would look particularly striking with pine or chrysanthemum arrangements for New Year's.
