Late Edo - Meiji Period Black Lacquer Four-Tiered Jubako Box with Wooden Case

36.96 $
Description
This is a four-tiered stacked lacquered box from the late Edo to Meiji period.

It comes with a period-appropriate old lacquered wooden box.

The glossy and deep black lacquer is beautiful,
with a clean and refined shape.
The interior is vermilion lacquered
and finished with fabric reinforcement,
combining both splendor and practicality.

The overall condition of the lacquer is good, and the interior is clean,
but there are signs of lacquer repair on the corner of one tier.
Additionally, there are some scuffs from age and minor lacquer repairs
on the exterior.
Recommended for those who understand antique lacquerware.
