Description
This is a Wajima-nuri lacquerware jubako (tiered food box). It features an elegant design with a refined inner vermilion and black lacquer, beautifully accented by the Four Gentlemen (plum, orchid, bamboo, and chrysanthemum) in gold maki-e (sprinkled gold lacquer). Each of the Four Gentlemen motif is distinctively depicted, creating a very tasteful design. The condition is excellent, with no signs of wear from storage.
The jubako measures 21cm x 21cm in width and 6cm in height. The lid height is 1cm, and there are two lids.
The stand measures 27.5cm in width and 2.7cm in height.
Please note that the paper shows some stains, and this is an old item.
