It was likely purchased about 30 years ago but has never been used and was kept in its original cardboard box.
It was only taken out for the purpose of taking photos.
The lid is not airtight. The inner lid (simply placed, no groove), a cup, and the outer lid (simply placed, no groove) are placed on the main unit.
