Vintage mid-century black evening handbag featuring ornate bronze-tone seed and bugle bead embroidery. The front is decorated with amber-colored faceted stones, dimensional gold-tone floral and leaf appliqués, silver-tone wirework flowers and a central porcelain-style cabochon printed with a multicolor rose design. The structured fabric body has a gold-tone metal frame with a geometric clasp and a short black fabric handle. The reverse is plain black, allowing the highly embellished front panel to remain the focal point. Its compact framed construction makes it suitable as a formal evening bag, cocktail purse, wedding accessory, theatrical wardrobe piece or vintage handbag display.
