【Be Prepared】Ultra-Rare! Hitler Youth Knife from the Dawn of Japanese Scouting【Always】

Thank you for looking. This is a very old Boy Scout knife, but it is in beautiful condition. What's particularly noteworthy is its design, which directly follows the German Youth Outdoor and Service Corps Hitler Youth issue knife, which was also derided as a Nazi German youth reserve force. This is a gem from an era when the absurd idea of issuing Nazi equipment to Japanese boys and girls was readily accepted, something that would absolutely not be permitted today. Records from the early days of the Boy Scouts of Japan around 1938 show that they were deeply impressed by the organizational strength and leadership of the Hitler Youth, the precursor to the SS led by Hitler in Germany, their ally at the time. They actively engaged in Japan-Germany Youth Exchange Programs, traveling to Germany and inviting them to Japan to learn from them. If that's the case, it's natural that they would also reference their equipment. The medallion embedded in the grip, the emblem, features a fleur-de-lis symbolizing courage, wisdom, hope, trust, and victory, the symbols of the Boy Scouts. Additionally, it has a unique Japanese Boy Scout design with the phrase Sonaeyo Tsuneni (Always Be Prepared) embossed in hiragana within a ribbon. This alone should tell you what an incredibly rare item this is. Currently, the Japanese Boy Scouts do not issue sheath knives; they only provide Opinel or small folding knives like tool knives. It's an era of ensuring safety and keeping away from danger. It may be unavoidable. It's deeply moving to imagine children over 50 years ago wielding this knife, singing Curry Rice Song by the river, and enjoying cooking rice in mess kits. I've lightly stropped the original edge, and it cuts quite well now. I deliberately did not use a machine to sharpen it, thinking it would be best not to add any further unnecessary work to this historical heritage. The sheath is also the original from that period.
