This is a bolt of Monsha-ori (patterned gauze weave) fabric for a kimono.

With global warming, Monsha haori (lightweight jackets) are being re-evaluated. As summer komon (lightweight kimono) are now worn from June, please have this made into a garment and wear it from early on.

This item is a specially dyed Sha komon from a small wholesaler, Yoshichu, who are renowned for Kyoto's summer dyeing techniques. The quality of the white fabric, the originality of the woven pattern, and the unique color scheme set it apart from the recent imitations that resemble organza used for Western clothing. Please experience the kinusuke (silk transparency) feel and the delicate texture like a cicada's wing.
