【Yamanaka Lacquerware】Confectionery Bowl Lacquerware Craft Natural Wood Confectionery Bowl Confectionery Dish

【Yamanaka Lacquerware】
Yamanaka lacquerware (Yamanaka shikki) is lacquerware produced in the Yamanaka Onsen area of Kaga City, Ishikawa Prefecture.
It excels in Yamanaka's unique wood turning technology, and is generally used for round items such as bowls and tea saucers. Many of the wooden bases, such as the natsume (tea caddy) for tea ceremony, are turned in Yamanaka.
Yamanaka lacquerware is characterized by the beauty of its natural wood grain and elegant maki-e (gold or silver powder decoration).
Yamanaka lacquerware includes traditional wooden lacquerware, finished by applying lacquer to processed natural wood, and modern lacquerware, which uses a plastic base with urethane coating. Together, these two types boast the largest production volume nationwide.
This product is wooden lacquerware, handmade using natural wood with a urethane coating applied to the surface.
