② Kaiseki Meal Tray, Tableware Tray, Traditional Crafts, Hisao Kawakishi, Wooden Double Coated, Special Lacquerware, Showa Retro
71.28 $
Description
The improved, hardened lacquer base, applied twice, creates a firm and solid foundation for the lacquer coating. This, combined with the black finish, results in a more substantial feel and a deep luster.
Each tray has a roughly 20cm indentation on the underside of its four sides. (Images 1, 3)
While perfect for home use, these trays would also enhance the Showa retro atmosphere when used as tableware in traditional Japanese cafes or similar establishments.
The absence of a pattern allows the dishes and food to stand out more.
