Description
This is an antique Wajima-nuri lacquerware tray. It is a type known as Sowa-zen, used for formal meals such as celebrations and Buddhist ceremonies. The extremely simple design highlights the timeless red lacquerware. There are scratches on the rim as shown in image 9.
The dimensions are 32 cm in width and 12.5 cm in height.
Many of these have scratches on the rim and drying cracks on the legs, but we have them in stock, so please feel free to inquire.
