Vintage Murano Style Hand Blown Multicolor Art Glass Ruffled Vase 13.5"

Vintage Hand-Blown Multicolor Art Glass Ruffled Handkerchief Vase Striking large vintage hand-blown art glass vase featuring dramatic multicolor ribbon decoration and an organically formed ruffled rim. The vase begins with a white ground at the base accented by elongated strokes of burgundy, black, red, yellow, aqua and orange. As the design rises, the colors transition into flowing horizontal ribbons of white, plum, burgundy, amber, rust, orange, pink and yellow, all surrounded by substantial clear glass. The upper edge has been individually manipulated into a dramatic asymmetric freeform rim, giving the vase the sculptural appearance commonly associated with Italian Murano-style “fazzoletto” or handkerchief glass. Beautiful from every angle, with noticeably different movement and color patterns as the vase is rotated. Its large 13.5-inch height and exceptionally wide ruffled opening give it considerable presence as a centerpiece, console, credenza or display piece.
