Vintage Mini Hand Turned Yew Wood Vase with Bark GEORGE LOONEY Rustic Decor

A collectible handmade, 4” tall hand-turned live-edge wood bud vase featuring natural bark texture. The signature on the bottom of the piece belongs to George Looney, a specialized regional craftsman known primarily for wood carving and woodturning. This natural live-edge vase is likely hand-turned from Yew wood (Taxus baccata). Yew is famous for its stark, dramatic contrast between the creamy-white outer sapwood and the rich, amber-orange to reddish-brown inner heartwood. *Please keep in mind that all items are vintage and antique, so signs of wear or age might be present.
