Vintage Nuance of New Orleans Art Glass Vase 3" Iridescent Confetti Signed

Beautiful vintage Nuance of New Orleans hand-blown art glass vase, approximately 3 tall.  This petite studio art glass piece features an exceptionally colorful pink, burgundy, white, green, blue and iridescent design. The glass has Nuance's distinctive shimmering, oil-slick/reduction effect, with layered pulled and mottled glass creating a dramatic confetti-like pattern throughout.  The vase has a striking hourglass/twisted form, with a wide flared rim and rounded lower body. The iridescence changes beautifully with the light, revealing flashes of turquoise, blue, gold, green and pink.  The base is signed/etched Nuance as shown in the photographs.  Nuance Studio/Louisiana Artisans Gallery was associated with New Orleans and represented handmade blown glass and other work by local and regional artisans. Vintage Nuance pieces from the 1990s are documented in the secondary market, and auction records identify Arden Stewart as the primary glass artist associated with the studio.
