Minolta SRT 101 35mm Film Camera /MC Rokkor-PF 50mm f1.7 Lens & Case JAPAN Pre-owned in great condition with minimal wear. The Minolta SR-T 101 is a legendary, fully mechanical 35mm single-lens reflex (SLR) camera introduced by Minolta in 1966. Celebrated for its incredibly robust, all-metal construction, it remained in production for nearly a decade and is widely considered one of the most reliable and budget-friendly vintage film cameras available. The SRT 101's features a built-in TTL light meter, specifically Minolta's Contrast Light Compensation (CLC) metering system, a TTL open-aperture design that samples light from two separate areas of the viewfinder to compensate for high-contrast scenes. This was a meaningful improvement beyond simple center-weighted metering at the time and was a precursor to later multi-zone systems. The SRT 101's viewfinder is large and bright for its era, displaying shutter speed inside the finder alongside the match-needle exposure indicator, which made it unusually informative by mid-1960s standards. The camera has a cloth focal plane shutter with speeds ranging from 1s to 1/1000, with a Bulb mode for long exposure. The camera has a depth of field preview button as well as a self-timer. Early production models also had a mirror lockup switch. The SRT 101 originally used a 1.3v mercury cell to power the light meter. It comes with camera & case.
