Antique Geo H Doerr Spokane Paris Mother of Pearl Opera Glasses w/ Case

Antique mother-of-pearl and brass opera glasses / theater binoculars marked for Geo. H. Doerr of Spokane, Washington and Paris.  A beautiful late 19th / early 20th century style pair featuring genuine-looking iridescent mother-of-pearl panels, ornate brass trim and the original fitted carrying case.  Details:   * Eyepiece marked GEO. H. DOERR – SPOKANE WASH.  * Opposite eyepiece marked GEO. H. DOERR – PARIS  * Mother-of-pearl paneled barrels  * Brass / gold-tone metal construction  * Ornate decorative borders  * Central focusing wheel  * Bridge bears an engraved script marking/name  * Includes fitted vintage hard case with blue interior lining  * Approximately 4 wide; additional measurements shown in photos  Condition: Antique pre-owned condition with substantial age-related character and wear. Brass has tarnish, oxidation, scratches and finish loss. Black finish around the objective lenses has considerable chipping/flaking. Mother-of-pearl panels appear generally intact and display attractive natural iridescence.  Lenses show age-related dust, marks and possible haze. Optical clarity, alignment and overall mechanical performance have not been professionally tested, so these are being sold primarily as an antique collectible/display piece.  Original case is included but is heavily worn, with significant exterior finish loss, scuffing and deterioration. Interior blue lining remains present with age-related wear.
