I started playing guitar and bought two types of strings, XL and these. I used the XL ones as they were recommended for beginners, but I ended up selling my guitar without ever changing to these strings.

I love the sparkling sound and the straightforward, gentle tone without any quirks.
Fingerstyle playing that brings out the delicacy of an acoustic guitar pairs well with the gentle warmth of these strings. For dynamic playing with a pick, they produce a balanced and calm tone that doesn't overly assert itself, which is very good!
I personally use the light gauge. For beginners, I recommend the extra-light gauge (XL) as the strings are easier to press down.
