[About Persimmon Tannin...]
Persimmon tannin is a liquid made by crushing unripe green persimmons, extracting the juice, and then fermenting and aging it.
It has waterproofing and anti-rot properties, and has long been used to coat wooden tools and agricultural implements, as well as Japanese umbrellas, fans, and lacquerware. This utilizes the anti-rot and waterproof properties of persimmon tannin when dry.
In recent years, it has been reconsidered as a measure against sick house syndrome due to its insect-repellent, anti-rot, and waterproofing effects when applied to wooden materials in homes. It is actually used on important cultural properties.
*Please note that odorless products are used.
