Antique Victorian Cabinet Card Young Woman Portrait Booth No. 74 c. 1890s
The Unbranded Brand
Original antique late-19th-century cabinet card photograph featuring a young woman posed for a formal studio portrait. She is shown wearing a high-neck Victorian dress with a strand of pearls or beaded necklace. Her curled bangs and hairstyle, clothing, and photographic presentation are consistent with the late Victorian era, likely circa 1880s–1890s. A very faint period notation can be seen along the upper edge of the photograph. It appears to read “Booth No. 74.” Because the writing has faded considerably with age, this transcription cannot be guaranteed. “No. 74” may have represented a studio negative, sitting, customer, or order number. Approximate size: 6.5 x 4.25 This is an original period photograph, not a reproduction. Condition shows expected age-related wear including fading/toning, light discoloration, spotting and general surface/edge wear. The image itself remains quite attractive, with the woman's facial features, hairstyle, jewelry and clothing clearly visible. Please review all photos closely for exact condition. A nice piece for collectors of Victorian photography, cabinet cards, antique portraiture, genealogy, fashion history, women’s history, or 19th-century photographic ephemera.
