Abstract, organic shapes and bold color blocking in shades of green, yellow, blue, and purple are characteristic of Marimekko's 1970s collections. This style shares strong design markers with Marimekko's iconic Japanese textile artist, Katsuji Wakisaka, who designed heavily for the brand during this era.
