Set of 2 lacquerware long trays (Wajima-nuri, Ouchi-nuri)
39.47 $
Description
Thank you for looking.
These were found during a cleanup and were stored wrapped in cloth.
The approximate sizes are listed in the photos.
✢ Wajima-nuri
The design, created using chinkin (gold inlay), is wonderful.
However, after searching extensively based on the elegant signature, I am unsure which lacquerware artist it belongs to.
As you can see in photos 4, 5, 6, and 7, there are many scuff marks.
It appears to have been used regularly in the past.
✢ Ouchi-nuri
This one appears to be almost unused. As far as I can tell from inspection, there are no scuff marks.
We ask that only those who understand these conditions purchase.
