Vintage Continental Silverlook #712 Hand Wrought Aluminum Candle Holder  Beautiful vintage Continental Silver Company hand-wrought “Silverlook” taper candle holder, design #712.  This unique mid-century piece features a round silver-tone base with a decorative beaded/scalloped edge, flower-shaped taper candle cup, and an especially pretty curved handle accented with dimensional carved-style leaves.  The underside is clearly marked:  TRADE CONTINENTAL MARK Hand Wrought Silverlook 712  Despite the “Silverlook” name, this piece is crafted from aluminum rather than sterling silver. The hand-wrought finish was designed to give aluminum the elegant appearance of silver while remaining lightweight and practical.  A wonderful piece of vintage American metalware and a beautiful addition to a collection, tablescape, mantel, cottage décor, farmhouse décor, or holiday display.  Vintage pre-owned condition with age-appropriate surface wear, scratches, discoloration and patina throughout. I have intentionally left the piece in its vintage condition rather than aggressively polishing or altering the original finish.
