Beautiful and culturally significant porcelain hinged egg-shaped trinket box crafted by the Turkish manufacturer Karaduman.The lid depicts the majestic Çanakkale Şehitleri Abidesi (Çanakkale Martyrs' Memorial), a prominent war monument on the Gallipoli Peninsula commemorating the Turkish soldiers of World War I. The base features a complementary, wrap-around graphic showing the silhouetted shapes of frontline battlefield soldiers against a fiery horizon. Features an intricate brass/gold-tone metal hinge and clasp setup along the center rim, resting on three stylized, gold-gilded porcelain tripod accent feet. The underside base cleanly displays the maker mark stamp: PATENT NO: 2006-4227 KARADUMAN.
