Effie Calavaza Zuni Sterling Silver Turquoise Coral Snake Bolo Tie

Exceptional vintage Zuni bolo tie by renowned artist Effie Calavaza, hallmarked EFFIE C / ZUNI on the reverse.  A striking example of Calavaza’s highly collectible signature snake/serpent work, featuring two sculptural snakes surrounding a dramatic arrangement of turquoise and coral stones. The silverwork is beautifully detailed with hand-stamped feather-like texturing along the outer border and small turquoise and coral accents incorporated into the snake design.  The bolo is finished with a black braided leather cord and especially beautiful coordinating silver tips. Each tip is individually set with turquoise and coral and accented with additional snake detailing—a wonderful feature that gives the entire piece a cohesive, highly finished appearance.  Very good vintage condition with natural patina, oxidation and surface wear consistent with age and handcrafted sterling jewelry. Turquoise displays natural matrix and variations.
