Beautiful vintage Canadian 100% pure silk scarf featuring a striking repeating Inuit figure design in icy blue, ivory, blush pink and gray. Signed “Dolorosa” with Inuktitut syllabics in the corner. Original bilingual Hand Painted / Made in Canada label with CA 04133 textile identification number. The signature is associated with documented Inuit artist Dolorosa Nartok, though I am listing the artist attribution conservatively as attributed to Dolorosa Nartok. A wonderful collectible textile for an Inuit art collector, vintage scarf enthusiast, or lover of distinctive Canadian art textiles. Approximately 33” square. Hand-finished edges.
