Bucket-shaped pitcher, lacquered ware, Tame (dark red/brown)

This item was acquired about 16 years ago from a department store that has since closed. The box inscription reads Lacquerware Artist Shōhō Hayashi.
When researching Mr. Shōhō Hayashi's works, most are described as Wajima-nuri, but I recall this not being Wajima-nuri.
The box itself does not state Wajima-nuri, but it's possible the original box for this item was replaced with another one at the time of sale.

However, my memory suggests it might be Echizen-nuri.
I have used it 2-3 times, and I don't believe there are any noticeable scratches.
Despite being over 10 years old, it hasn't warped, so I believe it's a good quality item.
(It is said that with poor quality items, the wood grain can become prominent over time.)

Addendum:
I was able to speak with someone involved in its sale.
They mentioned that at the time of sale, things were very busy and disorganized, so it's possible the box was switched.
A similar item was being sold as Wajima-nuri on another website.
Indeed, the fact that it hasn't warped after more than 10 years makes me wonder if it might be Wajima-nuri... but the authenticity is uncertain.
