Description
This is an antique Wajima-nuri lacquerware from the Noto Peninsula in Ishikawa Prefecture. I purchased it on Mercari in February this year for Hinamatsuri (Girls' Day), but I haven't used it. It's a wonderful vessel that would be a shame to let go unused, so I would be happy if someone could use it.
[Red Ohira Bowl]
This would be great for chirashizushi (scattered sushi)!
Exterior: Red with chinkin (gold-leaf inlay) pattern (both bowl and lid have patterns)
Interior: Black
Due to being handmade, the bowl is slightly oval. There is a small scratch on the rim of the lid.
Approximate size:
Diameter: 20cm, Height: 7.5cm
Height with lid on: 11cm
[Black Kashiwan (Sweets Bowl)]
Exterior: Black
Interior: Burnt brown to black
Luxurious chinkin pattern all around the inside of the bowl and the entire inside of the lid.
There is some slight scuffing on the base.
There is a faded area in the center of the inside of the bowl.

Height with lid on: 8cm
The other bowls I purchased together were also said to be pre-war and were very beautiful. I believe these are from the same era. For those who like old, good quality items and antiques...
