SLACKS, MATERNITY UTILITY AIR FORCE UNIFORM
These maternity pants were made for pregnant female Air Force soldiers. They feature a full stretch panel at the waist, providing pregnant soldiers with an unprecedented level of comfort, fit, and practicality. The waist is elasticated with a drawstring, and there are small cargo pockets with button closures on the sides.
Prototypes were created by the U.S. Air Force starting in 2003. The camouflage pattern of the prototype was a blue-grey tiger stripe pattern based on the tiger stripe uniforms worn by airmen during the Vietnam War. This camouflage pattern, derived from that, began to be issued in 2007 and was adopted until 2021.
ABU (Airman Battle Uniform) & U.S. AIR FORCE
The hems are unfinished, allowing for custom hemming or rolling up for wear. The sizing is also relaxed enough for men to wear comfortably. The material is a cotton-nylon blend twill. These are rare U.S. Air Force items, and even rarer utility pants from surplus!
