Yanase Washi's zodiac shikishi are currently sold for ¥3,080 each.

These are shikishi for 18 years, from 2004 (Kōshin) to 2021 (Shin'ū).

The four pieces from 2008 to 2011 are works by traditional craftsman Misako Igarashi (Emi) and come with a serial number, limited to 2000 pieces. Photos 6-8.
All shikishi have a sticker with the symbol mark (traditional mark) of a designated traditional craft by the Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry on the back. Photo 20.

These were owned by my late father, and I do not have detailed information.
There are no signs of display, and they appear to have been stored after being looked through.
While some of the outer protective paper (tatōshi) may have scuffs, all shikishi are in beautiful condition with no damage.
There are notes on the tatōshi regarding the years, written by my father. Photo 1.

Echizen Washi is one of Japan's three major washi papers, possessing a rich natural sensibility that cannot be fully expressed in words, with a warm and elegant texture, as well as the inherent dignity and toughness of the paper itself. It is washi paper where Japanese culture breathes.
