Description
Incredible, rare vintage 1999 Rocky Boy's Reservation Montana Chippewa-Cree calendar. This authentic cultural piece features historic black-and-white portraits and profiles of prominent tribal figures, chiefs, and elders—including Chief Rocky Boy, Big Knife, Well-Off-Man, and Spotted Blanket. It includes text descriptions written in both Cree (Syllabics/phonetics) and English. Features beautiful artwork illustrations and historical context, published by Well-Off-Man Photo-Graphics-Art (John Well-Off-Man) in 1998. The calendar has spiral binding at the top. Shows normal light signs of handling and age, including a mild surface yellow mark on the white border of the front and back pages (shown in the last two pictures). Overall clean and a fantastic ephemera piece for collectors of Native American history or Montana local interest.
