Luang Por Koon is one of the most famous high monks in Thailand. Born in Korat (Nakhon Ratchasima Province) in 1923. Ordained at the age of 21, he became famous for his powerful mind power through meditation, contemplation, and rigorous training. He studied Buddhism under Ajahn Kom and his grandfather, and also made pilgrimages to Cambodia and Laos to practice mysticism (ways to approach Buddha). As a result, he became a renowned master in Southeast Asia, leaving behind numerous legendary Phra Khun Paen amulets until his passing on May 16, 2015, at the age of 92.

When talking about Luang Por Koon, Thai people never forget the hotel collapse accident in Nakhon Ratchasima Province in 1993. Although 137 people died, there is a story that everyone who had Luang Por Koon's amulet survived. Afterwards, with compassion, Luang Por Koon came to the ruins and prayed for the deceased. Since then, Master Koon's amulets have been passed down as legends.
