Vintage 1970s Ribbed Knit Fabric Rust/Red Stripe 3.5 Yards x 58” Heavy Stretch

Striking vintage ribbed knit fabric in rich red (rust or brick red) tones with very fine multicolor striping. The surface has pronounced lengthwise raised ribs that give the fabric wonderful texture and dimension. Approximately 3.5 yards x 58” wide and weighs approximately 3.5 lbs. (Be careful of weight limits if bundling) Substantial, weighty fabric with good stretch across/against the direction of the stripes and little to no stretch along the stripes. The ribs are distinctly raised and can be felt across the surface. Subtle contrasting threads add pink, darker red and muted gold/olive accents. Likely a vintage synthetic or synthetic-blend knit, probably late 1960s–1970s. Fiber content is unknown. A great amount of fabric for a vintage-inspired jacket, skirt, pants, dress, vest, costume or other structured apparel project.
