Antique 800 Silver Fish Serving Fork & Knife Set Ornate Floral 215g European

Beautiful antique European 2-piece fish serving set consisting of a fish serving fork and fish serving knife/server. Both ornate handles are clearly stamped “800,” indicating 800-fineness silver (80% silver) on the marked components. The set features elaborate raised scrollwork on the handles and lovely engraved floral decoration on the fork and serving blade. Approximate measurements: • Fish serving fork: 9 1/4 inches long • Fish serving knife/server: 9 1/2 inches long • Combined weight: 7.6 oz (approximately 215 g) Purchased at a large flea market in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Exact maker and country of manufacture are unknown. Based on the style and 800 silver standard, this appears to be Continental European and likely dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. Very attractive antique condition with age-appropriate surface wear, light scratches and patina. Please examine all photographs closely, as they are an important part of the condition description. IMPORTANT: The “800” hallmarks are clearly visible on the handles. I have not independently tested the metal content of the individual fork head or knife blade and therefore am not representing that the entire 215 g weight is 800 silver. A substantial and beautifully decorated antique serving set for a silver, European flatware or tableware collection.
