Chanel multi-strand sautoir long chain necklace

The item in the photo is a Chanel multi-strand sautoir long chain necklace from their costume jewelry line, designed to be worn long or looped multi-wrapped around the neck or wrist. This from the costume line and came with no paperwork. i cannot authenticate other than what the original owner told me.  She said she bought it in the late 90s and paid close to $3,000 for it. I have no reason to double her as she is wealthy however just something to think about. Key Design Elements The Chain: It features heavily textured, ruthenium or antiqued silvertone woven metallic rope chains which give it a distinctively vintage, dark silver aesthetic. The Logo Stations: Interspaced along the multiple tiers are signature interlocking CC logos. Each logo is densely paved with round-cut brilliant white crystals/strass stones. The Hardware: Each crystal-encrusted CC motif is securely anchored on both sides by custom-engraved, ornate silver end-caps that match the fluid texture of the braided chains
