Beautiful vintage Art Deco sterling silver brooch featuring a bold geometric stepped design accented with sparkling marcasites. The center features an oval honey/amber-colored cabochon, surrounded by contrasting black panels that appear to be onyx or glass. The combination of the warm amber-colored center, black accents, and marcasites gives this piece a striking classic Art Deco appearance. The reverse is clearly marked STERLING and also bears additional marks/symbols that are difficult to identify. It has an older-style pin and clasp construction consistent with vintage jewelry.
