Christian Ulbricht “St. Nicholas” Limited Edition Nutcracker – Signed – #738 of 1500 – 2004  Beautiful and highly collectible Christian Ulbricht St. Nicholas nutcracker, handcrafted in Germany.  This is Original Design No. 0/401, produced as a Limited Edition of only 1,500 pieces worldwide. This example is individually numbered #738 of 1500 and dated 2004.  The underside of the wooden base is hand-signed by Gunther Ulbricht and bears the Christian Ulbricht “Handmade in Germany” marks as well as the special 75 Jahre Holzkunst Christian Ulbricht anniversary stamp.  St. Nicholas is dressed in a rich burgundy velvet-style coat with cream trim and carries a wooden staff and green gift sack filled with miniature toys. The attention to detail and traditional Erzgebirge craftsmanship make this a beautiful display piece for a serious German nutcracker or Christmas collector.
